In 2012, my business partner Jason and I had the opportunity to participate in our second big vending event at the “For Sisters Only” event in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is a yearly expo that focuses on empowering and celebrating women of color and it attracts a wide range of attendees, from local community members to celebrity figures.

One of the highlights of the event for us was getting the chance to meet and network with some of Atlanta’s most well-known figures in media and entertainment. We were able to interact with Ryan Cameron, a popular radio host and philanthropist, John Lewis, a civil rights icon and former U.S. representative, Amanda Davis, a veteran news anchor, Jennifer Wu, a meteorologist, and Candy from Xscape, a popular R&B girl group.

We were also excited to showcase our brand and the “Atown Down” logo at the event. The “Atown Down” brand is a clothing line that is inspired by the unique culture and vibe of Atlanta, and it was great to be able to share it with such a large and diverse audience.

Participating in the “For Sisters Only” event was a great experience for us. Not only did we get to connect with some of Atlanta’s most influential figures, but we also had the opportunity to promote our brand and connect with potential customers. It was a great opportunity for us to network and market our brand.

We were happy to see the positive reception of our brand and the “Atown Down” logo. Many people were interested in our clothing line and we were able to make some valuable connections. We also enjoyed being part of an event that focuses on empowering women of color and promoting diversity.

Overall, participating in the “For Sisters Only” event was a fantastic experience for us. We were able to connect with influential people, promote our brand and connect with potential customers. We are looking forward to participating in the event again in the future and continue to grow our brand. We were happy to see the positive reception of our brand and the “Atown Down” logo.
