Vending for the first time can be a daunting experience, but it’s also an exciting opportunity to introduce your brand to new people and build your confidence as a salesman. My friend Jason and I recently had the chance to vend our Atown Hats at an event put together by one of our college friends.
Although the event wasn’t huge and the turnout wasn’t as big as we had hoped, it was still a valuable experience for us. We got to practice setting up our booth, interacting with customers, and handling transactions. We also got to see firsthand how people responded to our brand and our products, which gave us valuable insight into how we can improve and what we’re doing right.
One thing I’ve learned from this experience is that it’s important to be prepared and organized. Jason and I made sure we had enough hats to sell and that we had a clear display to showcase them. We also made sure to have all the necessary materials, like cash boxes and business cards, so that we could handle transactions smoothly.
Another important thing that I learned is that it’s important to be confident and approachable. As vendors, we represent our brand and it’s important to make a good impression. We greeted customers with a friendly smile and were happy to answer any questions they had about our hats. We also took the time to strike up conversations and build connections with people, which helped to create a positive atmosphere around our booth.
Overall, our first vending experience may not have been a huge event, but it was a great opportunity for us to practice and learn. We got to introduce our brand to new people and build our confidence as salesmen. We’re excited to apply what we learned to future vending opportunities and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our brand.
